Gwen is a dear sister-in-Christ. I met her when her family started attending our church. She is a wife, a mom to two wonderful kids, and a much-admired music teacher in our public schools. Only after we started this blog, I discovered that Gwen is also a very gifted writer.

About the photo...
It was taken during a trip to Germany (March 2008) to visit some close friends. The photo is actually Salzburg, Austria. The bikers are: Emily, Emma, Erin, Donna, Phillip, Rachel, and Beth. Greg was too slow :) and Scott was taking the picture. Those are the Alps in the background. We were on a "Sound of Music" bicycle tour.
Needless to say, it was amazing. I'll try and post more pictures from this trip later.

Thank you for your kind words. I must echo what you said however--To God Be The Glory! You are so powerful a witness that you blessed me even as I attempted to use my words--lowly and humble though they are--to bless YOU.

Donna, I missed my hug today, however, you were quite emotional and I did not want to interrupt. You are such an inspiration and such a blessing for me. Your positive attitude when things go wrong, when the counts aren't right, when you are fatigued. You never stop giving God the glory and your trust is awesome. Thank you for your tremendous witness to what trusting God is all about.
