Where to begin. As I heard the news this morning I was overwhelmed with emotion for my old teacher. Mrs. O'Neil/Harvey was the most amazing teacher that I had growing up. While growing up with a learning disability she helped me grow as a person spiritually and mentally. Donna helped me throughout my school days as my tutor from 7th grade until the day I graduated from high school. I would say that out of all the people that had a strong influence on my life Donna would be at the top. I am forever grateful for her patients and love for her students. Without Donna in my life I know that I would not be where I am today. I am so grateful that God gives us the opportunity to meet people throughout life that help us down the bumpy road and she defiantly helped me out. If you didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time with her I am sorry because she was truly an amazing woman.
When I graduated from high school Donna gave me a card and this was the verse in it. This is now my life verse.
Philippians 1:3-4
3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Donna, thank you for everything you helped me with throughout life. I am truly blessed for knowing you and spending time with you.

Scott,
I've just read the arrangements for visitation and will sadly be out of town and unable to stop by.
Donna was the 6th grade teacher for both of our children. She had a special way of preparing them for what was to come in jr high and high school. Her sweet spirit, love for Christ and love for her students was obvious in every way.
I (Kim) enjoyed working with her at Oakland Christian - it seems she was always wearing a smile.
More recently bumping into her at a soccer field or in a store, she always took the time to stop and chat. And again, always wearing that smile even when sharing the news of the reoccuring battle with cancer.
A recent devotional titled: Fellowship: God's Family Lasts Forever was a reminder that this is not final - we will see Donna again in Heaven. Because of Christ work on the cross.
Please know we will be praying for you in the next days/weeks/months.
