She has finished the race...

This morning, around 1:15am, my sweet Donna went to be with her Savior... she was truly Living for the Line to the very end.

Our friend, Robin wrote a letter to Donna that she came and read to her with the following verse, which is appropriate for Donna.

As Paul wrote to Timothy.

II Timothy 4:6-8

"For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight: I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing."

I will update the blog when we have funeral arrangements.

Please continue to pray for our entire family.

Thank you.

Donna was a truly beautiful person inside and out. We feel blessed beyond expression to have had her in our lives for the time we did. Scott, we look forward to sharing memories of Donna with you and the girls while we cruise the lake, watch fireworks or walk the streets of Disney together in the years to come. She has blessed us and will continue to do so until we see her again! We Love You and the girls!

Where to begin. As I heard the news this morning I was overwhelmed with emotion for my old teacher. Mrs. O'Neil/Harvey was the most amazing teacher that I had growing up. While growing up with a learning disability she helped me grow as a person spiritually and mentally. Donna helped me throughout my school days as my tutor from 7th grade until the day I graduated from high school. I would say that out of all the people that had a strong influence on my life Donna would be at the top. I am forever grateful for her patients and love for her students. Without Donna in my life I know that I would not be where I am today. I am so grateful that God gives us the opportunity to meet people throughout life that help us down the bumpy road and she defiantly helped me out. If you didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time with her I am sorry because she was truly an amazing woman.
When I graduated from high school Donna gave me a card and this was the verse in it. This is now my life verse.
Philippians 1:3-4
3I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Donna, thank you for everything you helped me with throughout life. I am truly blessed for knowing you and spending time with you.

Scott, Rachel, Emily...

I pray for you today as I draw breath, every one an outpouring to my Father for your comfort in the midst of grief.

Donna was an inspiration indeed, but so much more: she radiated the Light of her Savior. Thank God for her heavenly home of no suffering, pain, or uncertainty. Sure was her faith; sure is her reward. Praise God for His abundant blessings. His promises never fail!

God bless you, the family and friends of Donna. You will all be in our prayers.
