Gone, but not forgotten

The stent is out (thank you Lord!), but there is still pain in that area. The x-rays showed the kidney stone has passed, but Donna is still not very comfortable.

We were hoping that when it came out, there would be a noticeable difference... that the pain would subside. So far, it has not, but we are waiting to see what tomorrow brings. The Dr. said to give it 24 hours, then her body should return to normal (whatever that is).

Pray that Donna would receive the healing that we so desire. If it is God's will, it will happen.

We look forward to tomorrow.

Although I faithfully follow Donna's progress thru the blog, this is the first comment I have left. I wanted you to know about the cancer fundraiser that Stephen's hockey team is taking part in. It should be quite a sight to see when these tough high school hockey players put on their pink and purple jerseys and take the ice against their cross-town rivals in a game to raise funds for cancer research. Our family has decided to purchase two jerseys, that Stephen will wear during the game (each player can wear up to three by changing between periods). One is in honor of my father, a lung cancer survivor; and the other is in honor of Donna. Proceeds from all jerseys sold will go to the American Cancer Society. If you like hockey and feel up to watching the game, it will be held on February 4 at Lakeland Arena in Waterford. The logo chosen for this first annual game is 'two teams/one cause' and will be on the front of the jerseys. After the game the honorees name will be added to the back and the jerseys will be given to the honoree. Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about you in this way.

I'll be praying for the pain to subside...man, it's been a long ride!

Twila, I think what you are doing is awesome! Stephen sounds like a great young man, and to do this for Donna is a real gift. I'd love to come, however I'll be in Florida at the time. So cool!

Scott and Donna, if you go, you'll have to take pics...what a cool idea!

Blessings,
Jess

Pray that pain is gone! Was hoping to see a new note today stating all was well.

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18 You by friend are revealing Gods glory with your amazing fortitude. Attitude. Your general countenance.
Hugs!

"But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more" Psalm 71:14

Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God, you have done great things, who, O God, is like you?

Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. Psalm 71:19-21

I don't know what God's plans are but they are good and anything is possible with God!
